What is HS2 - Proposed Route 3

The preferred route, from several examined, was route 3 and an overview of this is shown below. The detailed maps showing this route can also be found on the DfT website along with the subsequent optimisation revisions to mitigate a number of recognised problems.

The route through South Northamptonshire

The most recent revisions to the route involved changes in several areas: Turweston, Brackley, Greatworth, Chipping Warden and a section through to Southam in S Warwickshire. An overview is shown below and the detailed report and maps can be found on the DfT website.
